Sharing a v0 app with a client
v0 builds a full app and deploys it to Vercel, which hosts it well. For sending finished work to a client, the extras add up: a password needs Vercel Pro plus $20 a month for each protected project, invited viewers and outside commenters need Vercel accounts, and analytics is aggregate by design. QuickHost puts a password, a link per person and open tracking on every plan.

Fair is fair
When is v0 by Vercel the better choice?
If you’re building a real application that will grow into a product, v0 and Vercel are the better home: full frameworks, serverless functions and custom domains, and since September 2026 Vercel protects production behind a Vercel sign-in for free on every plan. When the client is a developer with a Vercel account, Vercel’s comments work well.
Choose v0 by Vercel if
- It’s an application that needs a server, functions or a framework build
- Your client has a Vercel account, or is on your team
- It will become a production product on Vercel
Choose QuickHost if
- It’s a page, deck, report or static prototype for a client without a Vercel account
- It needs a password without $20 a month per project
- You want to know which person opened it, and when
- It’s a PDF, spreadsheet or video as well as HTML
The difference
Where does v0 by Vercel fall short for client work?
Vercel was built to run production apps. Gating a finished deliverable for one client costs more there, in money and in accounts.
A password costs extra per project
Vercel Password Protection is $20 a month per protected project on Pro and isn’t available on Hobby. The free option, Vercel Authentication, asks every visitor to sign in with a Vercel account.
Your client needs a Vercel account to comment
Comments come from your team by default. On Pro and Enterprise you can invite outside people, and Vercel says they’ll need an account to view a protected deployment or to comment.
Totals, not people
Vercel Web Analytics identifies visitors by a hash that changes daily. That’s good for privacy, and it means Vercel can’t say whether a particular client opened the link.
The free plan is for personal projects
Vercel’s fair-use guidelines restrict Hobby teams to non-commercial personal use, and list being paid to build or host a site as an example. In our reading, paid client work needs Vercel Pro at $20 a month.
Pricing
How does v0 by Vercel’s pricing compare?
v0 is free to start with a limit of 7 messages a day, then $30 a user a month for Plus and $100 for Business. Hosting is Vercel’s, where Pro is $20 a month and a password adds $20 a month per protected project. QuickHost is from $8 a month for the workspace, with passwords on every plan.

Switching
How do I move from v0 by Vercel to QuickHost?
Keep building in v0. When the client is reviewing a static version, publish it to QuickHost.
- 1Have your agent build the app locally to a static output folder.
- 2Publish the folder with the dashboard, qh publish, or your agent over MCP.
- 3Choose a password or a named link for each person, and an expiry date if it should stop working.
- 4When the client comments, have your agent read the thread over MCP and republish the fix to the same link.
Questions
What else do people ask about v0 by Vercel and QuickHost?
The questions that come up when someone is deciding between the two, answered plainly.
Can I password-protect a v0 app?
Yes, through Vercel: on Pro for $20 a month per protected project, or included on Enterprise. It isn’t available on Hobby. Vercel Authentication protects it for free, but every visitor must sign in with a Vercel account.
Can a client comment on a v0 deployment without a Vercel account?
No. Vercel lets Pro and Enterprise teams invite outside commenters, and they need a Vercel account to comment. On QuickHost, clients comment with a name and no account.
Can I see who opened my Vercel deployment?
Not per person. Vercel Web Analytics counts visitors with a daily hash and can’t follow one person. QuickHost shows opens per named link.
Can QuickHost host a v0 app?
If it builds to static files, yes: publish the output folder. If it needs serverless functions or a server, keep it on Vercel, because QuickHost serves static files only.
