Sharing a Lovable project with a client
Lovable builds the app, and its shared preview links already cover a lot of client review: a named link per group, guest comments with no account, and on Business a password and an expiry date. It doesn’t tell you who opened a link, and a preview link always shows the latest in-progress build. QuickHost hosts a finished file or folder from any tool, keeps each version fixed once published, and shows opens per person.

At a glance
How does QuickHost compare to Lovable?
Lovable’s preview links cover named links and guest comments. QuickHost adds who opened it, a fixed version per publish, and viewers for PDFs, spreadsheets and video.

Fair is fair
When is Lovable the better choice?
If you built the app in Lovable and your client is reviewing it while you keep working, Lovable’s own preview links are the better fit. You can create a named link per group, let guests comment with no account, delete each link on its own, and on Business add a password and an expiry date. Lovable’s docs name exactly this case: a password-protected link for a client design review.
Choose Lovable if
- You built it in Lovable and you’ll keep iterating there
- The client should see the latest in-progress version
- Guest comments are enough, and you don’t need to know who opened it
Choose QuickHost if
- The deliverable came from Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor
- The client should see a fixed version, separate from your work in progress
- You want to know which person opened it, and when
- It’s a PDF, a spreadsheet, a video or a plain HTML file
The difference
Where does Lovable fall short for client work?
Lovable’s sharing is built around reviewing an app while it’s being built. For a finished deliverable, four things differ.
A preview link shows work in progress
Lovable says a preview link shows the latest in-progress version and recommends publishing for ongoing access, so a client can see changes you haven’t finished.
No record of who opened it
Lovable says opening a password-protected link is not a login and it doesn’t identify who opened the link. Its analytics counts visits, not people.
Password and expiry are Business features
On Free and Pro, preview links expire after 7 days and carry no password. Business ($50 a month) adds a password and an expiry of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or never.
It hosts what Lovable builds
Imported code is rebuilt the way Lovable builds its own apps, and there are no built-in viewers for PDFs, spreadsheets or video.
Pricing
How does Lovable’s pricing compare?
Publishing to a lovable.app address is free on every plan. Pro is $25 a month and Business $50 a month ($21 and $42 billed yearly), priced by credits rather than seats, and Business is the plan with preview-link passwords. QuickHost is a separate subscription, from $8 a month, with a password on every plan.

Switching
How do I move from Lovable to QuickHost?
Keep building and reviewing work in progress in Lovable. Use QuickHost for the version the client signs off on, and for deliverables that come from other tools.
- 1Keep in-progress app reviews on Lovable’s preview links.
- 2When a version is final, build it to static files from the project’s GitHub copy and publish the output folder to QuickHost.
- 3Publish documents, decks and reports from other tools straight to QuickHost.
- 4Give each person their own named link and watch who opens it.
Questions
What else do people ask about Lovable and QuickHost?
The questions that come up when someone is deciding between the two, answered plainly.
Can I password-protect a Lovable app?
A shared preview link can have a password on Business and Enterprise. The published lovable.app site has no password option, and its invite-only mode asks each viewer to sign in with a Lovable account.
Can clients comment on a Lovable project without an account?
Yes, on a shared preview link with guest comments turned on: they enter a name and comment, on every plan. Lovable documents no comments on the published site.
Can I see who opened my Lovable link?
No. Lovable says it doesn’t identify who opened a link, and its analytics measures overall traffic. QuickHost shows opens per named link, with the first and last open.
Does a Lovable site ever expire?
Published sites have no fixed expiry. On Free, Lovable may unpublish a project after 12 months with no visits, no owner login and no custom domain. Preview links expire after 7 days on Free and Pro.
